Volunteer Positions Available

Do you or someone you know love working for a greater purpose? Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of others? Do you get excited when you use your gifts to benefit your community?

FFM is looking for dedicated, talented volunteers to join our team and help us expand our reach. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience while partnering with others who are passionate about being part of the solution to sexual abuse. You will use and further develop your skills while making a powerful impact in the local community and beyond.

Graphic Designer(s)

Creative and positive graphic designer to work closely with our Marketing and Communications Manager and Social Media Volunteers. Will create original images for social media, events, and other projects as they arise. Must have your own computer or access to a computer with Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Photoshop. (2-5 hours/week. Ongoing need. 3-6 month commitment. Certificate of completion provided.)

Social Media Volunteers/Creative Writers

Creative, polished writer with engaging writing style and fresh ideas to share stories, raise awareness, and expand FFM online community. Will research ideas and create content for FFM social media, blog, web pages, etc. under supervision of Marketing and Communications Manager. (3-6 hours/week. Ongoing need. 3-6 month commitment. Certificate of completion provided.)

Photographers

Friendly and personable photographer to brainstorm with FFM team and direct photo shoot for FFM social media, web, and print. Will likely need to coach volunteers being photographed. (One time project.)

Models/People Willing to be Photographed

We are scheduling an upcoming photo shoot and are looking for people of all ages, shapes, and sizes to be a part of our new project. Must be comfortable with photos used online and for print. (One time project.)

Video Editor

Preferably Spanish speaking or familiar with Spanish to put subtitles on an already completed project. Must have your own computer and editing program or access to the necessary tools. (One time project.)

Licensed Therapist (pro-bono services)

Fighting for Me, Inc. would love to have you join our network of licensed professionals!  We are looking for an experienced Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist interested in working with sexual assault and rape survivors.  Experience with PTSD, sexual trauma, depression, anxiety, and suicide assessment is desired.  Therapists will be responsible for providing pro bono counseling services and recording and maintaining progress notes and treatment plans/goals in FFM’s electronic health record system.  Therapists may need to advocate for clients and collaborate with schools, social workers, doctors, law enforcement, and the court system. Therapists are required to have at least two (2) years post-licensure experience and provide evidence of professional liability insurance.  Most importantly, therapists interested in this volunteer position will have compassion and a sincere interest in working with this population and our dynamic Fighting for Me team.  There is no minimum client load required; seeing one or two rape/sexual assault survivors a year equals one or two survivors that might not otherwise be helped!
